Apollonia has been established in 588 b.C. by Greeks coming mainly from Kerkyra Island (which is Corfu nowadays).
At this time, Albania was called Illyria.
I came first for a visit of the place in 1996 and discovered the temple : I really enjoyed this site and planned a comeback the next summer.... My steps drove me somewhere else, and I was able to be here again only seventeen years later.
