The Xinfeng Swamp is at the mouth of the Hongmaogang River in Xinfeng Townhsip, Hsinchu County. We can see two species of mangroves Kandelia and Avicennia marina in this place, which is the only area in north Taiwan that they grow together.

Kandelia is the major mangrove on the south bank, and you can find more Avicennia marina near the sea. Mangroves grow on the north bank too, but less than on the south bank. (http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/local/mangrove/e/ad/ad1d1.htm)
