Here we are on the edge of the river coming out of Big Bend. Remember this is dry season. After a good deluge of rain in winters wet season the river will be bank to bank for a day or so.

The prominent plant on the point jutting out is Kiekie (Freycinetia banks). It is related to the tropical Pandanus palm. Its leaves used for weaving.
