This may be stretching the definition of forest a bit.

Happy Valley in Stenness is basically a wildlife garden which was put together over many years by Edwin Harrold. He had an unconventional approach, some of the pools were cleared with dynamite. All other considerations aside it is a lovely place and open to the public. It is a small oasis of trees in a landscape with very few of them.

This picture was taken in the early Spring, the snowdrops have come and gone and the bluebells haven't flowered yet.
