Located at the edge of the
Bois Noirs, in the northern part of Massif Central,
Montagne Bourbonnaise is an attractive spot for what we call nowadays
green tourism. Its ungenerous climate during the winter time keeps the area in a relative solitude except for trained cross country skiers. Mild season sees the comeback of families seeking for quietude, peace of mind and pure breathing, as well as walkers, mushroom and blueberries pickers.
One of Montagne Bourbonnaise's greatest interests is its forest area of about 380 square kilometers, both conifers and void leaves trees such as beeches.
