Combe Grède is one of the many gorges that the water over time cut into the limestone in the Jura region. This gorge leads up to the Chasseral (1607 m) where on clear days you have a magnificent view over the lower areas of Switzerland all the way to the Alps. The gorge is covered with forest, mainly maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.), beech (Fagus sylvatica L.), and spruce (Picea abies Karst).
