You are sitting in the cockpit of a two-seater Sopwith Strutter fighter plane, as used in World War I. The controls in front of you are as they would have been in the 1910s, it looks like light switches from home and a maritime compass?
This is not a vintage plane, it was built in the 21st century, to the original plans from the 20th century. It's called "late production". The manufacturers "Sopwith" probably they thought they build the last one over 100 years ago, but it was the 2nd last one, 10 years later another one is born.
To make it airworthy you will see some modern dials under the original instruments These can be hidden for photography but for flying modern regulations mean these monitors on engine pressure and temperature are an essential heartbeat of the engine.
Down to the right, in the shadows, you will also find a Commercial Air-band radio, another addition to the electrical equipment that was not part of flying routines when this plane was last in production.
First Flight is planned for 2022.
