17th-century old wooden covered market hall in Villebois Lavalette - southwest France. This covered hall has a magnificent wooden frame that is frequently found in other halls in the southwest of France, particularly those in the bastides of Perigord, Guyenne or Gascony. The 700m2 roof is multi-sloped, supported by wooden pillars and stone on its western edge. Open on the sides, this covered market is set up on a slightly triangular-shaped square. The ground is paved, with a slight slope to the west. A series of three steps also flank its west side.
