Library Trees' Park

On October the 27th 2018 has been inaugurated the “Library Trees’ Park”, common known as “Library Trees’”, designed by landscape painter Petra Blaisse of Inside Outside Studio., with the collaboration of Piet Oudolf who made High Line in New York.

It’s almost 10 ha wide, a sort of “vegetables rooms” made by trees in circular shape, to offer Milan’s citizens a calm ambient where relax themselves. 

This is the third public park in Milan City, after Sempione Park and Montanelli Gardens.

Red oaks, cedars of Lebanon, poplars, bagicles, willow leaf pears, birches: these and many species will enliven the park. Their names can be read engraved on the paved and straight avenues, which light up splendidly at night. Piet Oudolf, theoretician of the "spontaneous garden", has instead dealt with the "irregular fields" which will abound in grasses.

The part you can see in the pano is mainly dedicated to children, who can play safely.

Children's area is a soft base so as not to get hurt and super colorful, divided by the surrounding park with a row of willows. Here you will find swings of various types, for young and old.
