Since I have moved to Freiburg I have always lived close to the river Dreisam, now I am even living right next to it. Five times I have photographed it so far for the wwp, now I had to go and photograph another panorama, because I had nothing to choose from for the Best-of-2018-event, all the panoramas I had made were already published.

A few years ago a short stretch of the river Dreisam has been renaturized, the bed has been widened and some bits of the former embankment have been left as little islands. But the river soon reshaped the neat park-like landscape and created new pools and banks of pebbles.
