Story was begin when one (well known) agency ordered Curiosity Rover's Self Portrait panorama with black sky for use as a book cover illustration. I was make image as they requested, but then think: black sky looks not very good. What if I'll put Milky Way there?
So I just make composite photo from two sources: http://www.360cities.net/image/mars-panorama-curiosity-solar-day-177 and http://www.360pano.eu/show/?id=736
But of course it not represent real view of Mars sky - I have no any references to make it.
