The lines and patterns in this panorama are not man-made. They are redesigned every 12 hours or so by the waters of the Wadden Sea, part of the North Sea. This panorama was taken near the very eastern end of the Island of Spiekeroog, one of the East Frisian Islands. You can see how wide the land stretches out when the tide is out. Here you can forget time by simply looking at the patterns and meditating. But beware of the tide! It is quite a long walk to reach dry ground again, and the tidal currents between the islands are extremely strong.
