To finish this year I would like to share another "musical" panorama. This time a partial panorama we got last December 15th when the well know conductor Gustavo Dudamel was in front of our local youth orchestra. Gustavo Dudamel has been our best musical ambassador and is currently a worldwide recognized conductor.
In 1975 Venezuelan economist and amateur musician Jose Antonio Abreu founded Social Action for Music (known as "El Sistema)" and became its Director. Abreu has navigated the program for the past 34 years through several different administrations, flourishing under both the Presidents of the 1980s and the actual Administration. Combining political shrewdness with religious devotion, Abreu has dedicated himself to a Utopian dream in which an Orchestra represents the ideal society and the sooner a child is nurtured in that environment the better for all. It is not a political movement and should not be associated with any government or politician in Venezuela, now or before.
This concert was held at the Metropolitan Stadium and more than 20,000 people attended to it.

A nice video with a "Mambo" version here.
Check this version if you have problems seeing this panorama.
