The New England Holocaust Memorial is filled with evocative symbolism which I was to learn more about later while doing my research.
Architect Stanley Saitowitz designed the Memorial which consists of five glass towers. Sitting side by side in a straight line, connected by a long black granite walkway, one feels that they (the towers) are reaching for the sky. Each tower represents a Nazi death camp. On the walls there are numbers etched into the glass, six million in all, representing those who were killed. Open the panorama in full screen and you will see what I am talking about.
You can view other scenes from that day and the Memorial on this page.
