Laugh or die, it was one of those movies.
It took 3 days to get this shot. Even then I was lucky to get it because I had access to the actor when the set was lit and we were waiting for the 1st Unit Director to show up and bless the shot (plus a very cooperative 2nd Unit Director who already knew my work, as did most of the 2nd Unit crew). Working on the 2nd Unit sometimes allows you freedoms that you don't have working on 1st Unit where you generally have a slave-driving 1st Assistant Director who never lets up.
As a side note, Amirali's makeup took 2.5 hours to put on and another half of an hour to take off ... every day.
This was our 2nd Unit group shot for the movie and it whipped anything 1st Unit had. Once again VR trumps flat photography!
