Ce site inscrit au patrimoine de l'humanité de l'UNESCO est le lieu où le Bouddha reçut son illumination (sous l'arbre de la Bodhi). C'est un lieu de pèlerinage pour les bouddhistes du monde entier.

J'ai profité de la fin de journée pour prendre cette photo qui met en valeur les centaines de bougies disposées sur le site. L'ambiance féerique est portée par le chant des pèlerins.
