Budapest Great Synagogue is the largest Synagogue in Europe. Built by the Jewish Neolog Community of Pest between 1854-1859 in a Moorish Revival style with Romantic, Byzantine and Gothic elements. Interior design partly by Frigyes Feszl. It was bombed both during the Nazi occupation and the battle for the liberation of Budapest. Its restoration started in 1991 and was completed in 1996. The building hosts the Jewish Museum, the Jewish Cemetery, the Heroes' Temple, and the Raul Wallenberg Holocaust Memorial Park.

Costruita dalla comunità Ebraica Neolog di Pest tra il 1854 e il 1859, è la più grande sinagoga d'Europa. Stile moresco contaminato da elementi bizantini, gotici e romantici, secondo un progetto di Ludwig Förster. Il design degli interni è stato realizzato in parte da Frigyes Feszl. Bombardata pesantemente sia durante l'occupazione nazista che nella battaglia per la liberazione di Budapest, fu restaurata a partire dal 1991. I lavori terminarono nel 1996. L'edificio ospita un Museo Ebraico, un Tempio degli Eroi, un Cimitero e un Parco della Memoria dell'Olocausto.
