An alpine marmot (Marmota Marmota) coming out from his burrow.
The marmot is actually the same, shot in various positions with still camera.
I then chose the best shots and composed them together.
I was excited as a child while shooting, because I had never seen marmots before, and I didn't think one could get so close to them and their burrows!
The Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso is the first natural reserve ever founded in Italy (1856). It's a wonderful place at just two hours from Torino.
The first "Marmotta Day" was organized by a group of italian photo amateurs (well, mostly Nikon-addicted...) and the majority of them was surprised by the number of marmots all around, and how they could get close to them, absolutely without attracting them with food or anything.

Una marmotta o due...
Una marmotta alpina (Marmota Marmota) che sbuca dalla sua tana.
La marmotta è in effetti una sola, ripresa in varie posizioni a camera fissa.
Ho poi scelto gli scatti migliori e li ho composti insieme.
Ero eccitato come un pargolo mentre scattavo, perché non avevo mai visto marmotte in vita mia, e non pensavo ci si potesse avvicinare così tanto a loro e alle loro tane!
Il Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso è la prima riserva naturale istituita in Italia (1856).
È un luogo meraviglioso a sole due ore da Torino.
Il primo "Marmotta Day" è stato organizzato da un gruppo di fotoamatori italiani (soprattutto "nikonisti"...) per la maggior parte stupiti dal gran numero di marmotte presenti, e per la possibilità di avvicinarle moltissimo, assolutamente evitando di attirarle con esche, cibo o simili.
