These shots were taken on a sunny but cold 25th february this year. Outside the "Boetegewoene Boetezitting" (a carnaval festival) was going on (a glimpse of it is on the video screen). It's a festival that attracts young and old and attracts lots of people from around Venlo and further afield!
In Café Central where these shots were taken, it was warm and less crowded and I went there for a cup of coffee. What a beautifully decorated interior and just as the people outside, the guests were in a joyful mood and kept on partying .
While I stood there shooting, the boy next to me said "wait", and at that moment he lifted his girlfriend! Though she was very surprised, she enjoyed his action , and they both laughed about it!
Catching this unexpected moment and the colourful interior makes this a beautiful panorama. It's my best of 2006. Look for more panos of this event here:
