The location:

The main train station in the heart of Frankfurt/Main is one of 5.400 train stations in Germany. It's operated by the German railroad company Deutsche Bahn. The station went into service 1888. The building measures approx. 270 m. in width and 30 m. in height.

350.000 passengers are using the station every day and with 342 long distance trains per day, 290 short distance trains per day and 1.100 city area trains (S-Bahn) per day the station is one of German busiest and largest train stations.

Making Of:

The shooting was done with a virtual tripod. The virtual tripod is also called a Philopod.

With a fisheye attached to my camera, four pictures cover 360°. But as I wanted to show some passengers I took some more shots and afterwards I selected the four shots, with the most passengers captured.

I took two additional pictures for the zenith and nadir. Due to the tiles on the floor lots of retouching was necessary for the nadir shot.
