This Friday, 28th July 2006, marks the 30th anniversary of the 1976 Tangshan earth quake that has been being a sorrowful memory in Chinese people's mind.

The great Tangshan earthquake, measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, killed more than 240, 000 people and injured more than 700,000 people. It is the most deadly of the 20th century. Certaily, it brought the people of Tangshan and China enormous loss and hurt. Many people who survived in the disaster lost their folks, and a lot of children became orphans.

The great Tangshan earthquake had brounght huge damage and hurt to the Chinese people. After 30 years, we should not only yearn the dead people but also should strive to prevent the tragedy from occurring again.
