Bagno Smeraldo

I haven't taken many panoramic pictures during this year, and the one I propose is not a particularly spectacular one.
The picture represents the winter look of a place that is in summer dedicated to spare time, divertissement and relax. The winter sea wraps it of a melancholic and reflecting atmosphere.
I have chosen this panorama in order to show how in a simple "winter marina landscape" it's easy to notice all the elements that make you think about of the dangers and hazards that afflict our environment. The sea level has inexorably raised up and subsidence induced by the gas methane extraction, emphasizes the phenomenon.
Since now the barriers placed to defense the coast are nearly submerged and they won't resist much time against sea storms and bad wheather. The beach is withdrawning, and the efforts to prevent and avoid this phenomenon end up in the building of walls that last just for one season.
Poor Emerald Beach, will it resist another year?

Quest'anno non ho realizzato molte panoramiche e quella che propongo non è particolarmente spettacolare.
E' la veste invernale di un luogo che in estate è dedicato allo svago al divertimento ed al relax. Il mare d'inverno permea tutte le cose di un'atmosfera malinconica e riflessiva.
Questa semplice "marina" invernale, così quieta e pacata, camuffa gli indizi dei pericoli che premono sul territorio e sull'ambiente.
Il livello del mare si innalza inesorabile e nello stesso tempo la subsidenza, indotta anche dall'estrazione del gas metano, accentua il fenomeno.
Ormai le barriere poste a difesa della costa sono quasi sommerse e non reggono più alle mareggiate. La spiaggia si ritira e si tenta di frenare l'avanzata del mare con rimedi che durano una stagione.
Povero Bagno Smeraldo, resisterà un altro anno?
