Why do I look so worried? I was very concentrated to shoot the photos as accurate as possible because the tripod was very wobbly between the seats and the wind outside had us jumping in the air.

Here we fly over the pass "Albula" between Davos and Samedan, Switzerland.

A friend of mine who lives in the same house, a retired Swissair Jumbo Pilot, is flying this little plane. I asked him one day if I can go for a flight with him and the next day we were up in the sky. First I tried to make a panorama from the front seat beside him but there was too little space to turn the camera. So I decided to go to the backseat. After five minutes of climbing I was there...

The airport where we started:

The airplane from outside. The blue one on the bottom right.

This panorama is for me the best of 2005 because it was made very spontaneous without any preparation. The first idea was to capture an object movie of a significant mountain called "Tinzenhorn". After 3 rounds around Tinzenhorn and some photos of Davos we flew back to the airport of Samedan. On the way to there and after short thought I took the spherical equipment out of my camera bag and made this panorama in a really short time, about five minutes befor we arrived at the airport. The stitching process took me quite some time because the images didn't line up as well and the amount of contrast from inside to outside was huge. After the distortion correction in PTGui I then stitched, color corrected and blended the panorama in Photoshop manually. I was so happy after finishing the panorama about its quality.

As you can see on the panorama my friend is calling the tower of airport Samedan to announce the arrival of his airplane.

Next time I will also add some sound to make the experience even more realistic.
