After I was done shooting the images for my entry in the Energy event, I continued on my way through the foggy grasslands. A couple of minutes later I stumbled upon a field with sleeping cows. I decided to take a chance, jump a water filled ditch and take a panorama in between these sleeping cows.

While I was sneaking around the cows ever so quietly, avoiding fresh streamy puddles of cow manure every two steps, and hoping not to disturb and wake them, most of the cows woke up. Feeling guilty I had deprived the cows of their morning sleep, I continued doing my thing in their field. It turned out I had not so much woken them up, but far more I had awoken their curiosity.

After I had finished the 4 fisheye shots I normally take for a panorama, I decided to do another round. The small panorama above shows the first of the two series, the fullscreen panorama was taken just ~15 seconds later.

The closest of the cows ended up not only sniffing me out, but licking most of my camera gear. Let me tell you that a cows tongue is a rather large and slobbery affair...
Equipment
Hardware: Fuji S2 Pro with Sigma 8mm fisheye lens on a makeshift tripodhead.

Software: PTGui, Panotools, Photoshop, CubicConverter
