Belem is a part of the Portuguese capital Lisbon and contains a number of remarkable "sanctuaries" .
Most of these sanctuaries are visible in the panorama, where more information about each of them can be found by the web hotspots provided there. -Monastry of the Jeronimos
-the largest christmas tree in Europe (62m)
-the Cultural Center of Belem with all kind of events is a sanctuary for a lot of performing artists.
-from the viewpoint, where the panorama was taken, it is also visible the remarkable bridge " Ponte de 25 de Abril" named by the 1974 "Carnations" revolution in Portugal and the
-Cristo Rei (Christ the King) monument which might remind a bit of the Cristo Redentor on the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro.
