Taipei Basin have Danshuei River gathers Dahan River, Sindian River and Keelung River four rivers together, from Taipei Bridge to Guandu, River is so narrow that the flood cannot be discharged fully and the low-lying land on the two river banks suffers flood frequently.

Erchong Floodway extended from the Danshuei River bank at the south side of Sanchong City to the north west side and enters Wugu Township. in typhoon season its function to discharge the flood when the flood takes.

In the ordinary day here is the park which rests, the cycle track, also provides the urban outside circuit transportation.
