Christmas in Nottingham

Perhaps Nottingham's Old Market Square should now be called the New Market Square as it was re-opened by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal on Tuesday the 3rd of April 2007 following a £7 million facelift.

Princess Anne saw for herself how the square has been transformed using quality granite flagstones, providing seating terraces, flowerbeds, semi-mature trees and stunning water terraces - creating a space that's more accessible, stylish and usable.

Historically the Square forms a meeting place for the people of Nottingham and it is also the location for local events, civic protests, royal visits, celebrations and public mourning, in fact many of Nottingham's most defining moments have occurred here.

Shot in RAW format with a Canon EOS 20D and Sigma 8mm Fisheye, mounted on a Nodal Ninja NN3 Pano Head and Manfrotto 190 tripod. Exposure was 2 seconds, ISO 400 at f8 with 4 portrait shots taken at 90 degrees plus zenith and a handheld nadir image. Stitched in PTGui Pro on a PowerMac G5 and output to layered PSD. Cube faces created in CubicConverter, nadir patched in Photoshop and final movie output from CC.
