It's been 15 years and 20 days since I stood on this very spot to shoot my previous panorama (Between Performances) on the theme of "Performing Arts". In that time so much has happened to this little space, but hopefully now things are starting to look up!

Shooting this panorama was one of those lucky coincidences. After earlier this year shooting a panorama outside of here (A Small Theatre with a Promising Future) for the theme of "Future", I shared it and my original panorama with the group who are trying to re-open the theatre to the public. As the original panorama provided them with an amazing source of reference material, I was invited inside to re-shoot what it looked like now.

Unfortunately, time hasn't been kind to the building. After it closed, the space was used as a performance space by a university. During this time a small fire happened "back stage" which resulted in some minor damage. This was put good as best as it could be. After this the building was left closed up which resulted in damp getting in and ruining the amazing paintings. With no electricity in the building, I brought a light to provide some illumination to shoot by. As we are about to step into the new year, the group is very positive about opening it again to the public during 2025, and you never know I may be there to record its transformation once again.

Equipment

Taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G fisheye lens. Mounted on a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head and R-D16 rotator atop a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. 7 bracketed shots (-3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 + 2) taken at 6 positions 60°  apart, tilted 15° down, and another shot taken looking straight up. Raw files then processed in darktable v4.8.1 before being stitched together using PTGui 10.0.19 Pro and converted using Pano2VR 6.1.15 pro.
