9 years ago I took a panorama in the same place: Belchen Summit at Sunset There was no snow back then and the Alps were shrouded in mist.

This time my sons were with me again, it was a very clear day up there with some snow and the Alps were clearly visible. And even better: only 20 minutes later, when the sun disappeared below the horizon, a Blue Flash appeared. This is the even rarer version of a Green Flash. Luckily my son Moritz shot it with his new camera. If you pan straight up, you can see it.

BTW.: The two bold young men pitching a tent for a cold and very starry night are not my sons.

Equipment
  • Sony a7R4, Samyang 12mm fisheye, for the panorama.
  • Sony a7R3, Canon EF lens at 400mm for the crop, which was additionally enlarged 4x.
  • tripod, PTGui pro, Photoshop
