Originally, I was not planning on taking my photo in front of the Delaware Golf Club, but rather the Perkins Observatory, which is located on the same back road. I wanted to shoot in front of the observatory because along with it being the equinox, it was also world astrology day. Upon making my way to the observatory, I found the road blocked by a chain, and I could not get through.
Not wanting to push my luck with, I had to call an audible. At this point, I had less than 10 minutes before the equinox rolled around, and I refused to miss my shot. Instead of giving up, I continued on this heavily wooded road which took me to the Delaware Golf Club. Out of time and out of options, I quickly parked, took my shots, and got out of there.
This area is more rural, and so I did not want to be caught taking photos of a building by myself in the dark. It was cold and a little spooky being out that late at night, but luckily everything went smoothly. I wish I could have gotten a photo in my originally planned location, but I'm glad anyway that I got a photo at exactly the equinox.
