I did not take part in the original 'Wrinkle in Time' event, but as an anniversary tribute to the original event, I returned to the clipper ship Cutty Sark, where I shot my first World Wide Panorama contribution in 2004.
A few things have changed since 2004:
In 2007 a fire broke out on board the Cutty Sark during conservation work. The fire was devastating, but as conservation work had already begun, the ship's original masts and a large number of timbers had been removed. Restoration work involved raising the clipper by 11 feet (3.3 metres) and adding a glass roof to make an exhibition space in the dry dock beneath the ship's hull.
The ketch Gypsy Moth IV which was on display in a nearby dry dock was removed and relaunched in 2005.
Cutty Sark Gardens plaza has been landscaped with new kerbs, copings, planters and bespoke seating blocks.
On the other side of the River Thames, more high-rise buildings have been constructed in Canary Wharf.
