This blind valley is a form of the sinking contact karsts. A blind valley is a valley or erosion ditch where the surface water flow on the impermeable surface passes through to the permeable surface of the limestone and sinks below the limestone rock wall or a steep slope.

This blind valley in the area of Dobeno is an example of the micro blind valley and is only 50 m long and 10 m wide. On the bottom of the valley flows a brook, which gets water from the two erosion ditches which made on the limestone bottom of the blind valley a film of the impermeable layer. The brook sinks on the end of the blind valley below the steep slope of Debeli vrh (594 m) hill. The area is the northern most isolated limestone area with the developed surface karsts morphology.

Opis slepe doline v Slovenskem jeziku
