Maybe not my best panorama of the year but at least the best church I've ever seen!

It was designed and build by the artist Ettore DeGrazia, in 1952, with the help of some Yaqui friends.

The adobe bricks were made on the site and baked in the hot sun and built in honor of Padre Kino, a Jesuit priest who has contributed greatly to the story of Tucson and dedicated to the Virgin Guadalupe.

I like this little church because it's simple and poor, because the open air roof connects you directly with the sky and nature, because it's open to other religions aside from the Catholic one (native spirits, and just on top of the altar there are some lung-ta, Buddhist flags).
