This is a natural spring of US-82, just East of Dickens, TX. There's a pretty steep grade going up the hill, so this area was developed early on as a place for people to let their automobiles sit, cool off, then fill up the radiator (since back then radiators were not pressurized and were capable of boiling over).

My great great aunt, a schoolteacher, got used to stopping here on her way to Lubbock when she was little and you had to stop for your car, and made a habit of resting here in the mid-50's in her '39 Ford.

If you ever stop by, there is another spring accessed by the top of the hill that you should see too (but be careful in ice).

This was the first panorama I took with my new 350D+Peleng setup.
Equipment
Canon 350D with Peleng 8mm, handheld (raw). Stitched in PTGui. QTVR file made with PanoCube Plus.
